Professional Biography

After graduating from the University of Connecticut School of Law, Geoffrey began his career as a policyholder-side insurance coverage attorney, representing real estate, hospitality, construction, and technology companies in disputes with insurance companies. Geoffrey leverages his insurance litigation experience to help his clients maintain the proper insurance and contracts so they can avoid litigation as much as possible.

Geoffrey provides full service outsourced risk management and consults on real estate acquisitions and divestitures, construction, real estate portfolio master insurance programs, corporate mergers, equity transactions, cyber risk, and representation and warranty issues. Geoffrey specializes in complex contract negotiation and drafting, regularly negotiating the insurance and risk management requirements on large municipal ground leases, construction contracts, and loan agreements.

Geoffrey regularly teaches on the subjects of contractual risk transfer, insurance law, and cyber risk for the American Bar Association and on various industry panels. He is married with two children and enjoys trail running, carpentry, audiobooks, and all things technology.
